Czech‑German Workshop
on Speech Communication

Call for papers

Deadline: June 15, 2014; extended until June 23!

Notification of acceptance: July 10, 2014

Submission of revised abstracts: August 15, 2014

Submission guidelines

Submissions from the following areas are welcome:

  • speech production
  • speech perception
  • phonology and sound systems
  • L1 and L2 acquisition
  • speech disorders
  • speech processing
  • speech synthesis
  • speech recognition
  • speaker and language recognition
  • history of speech science

Please submit a structured abstract which summarizes your study. Its length should be 400 to 500 words (excluding references). The abstract must include the following sections:

Research question/purpose: Describe concisely specific purpose of the study, research questions and/or hypotheses tested.

Method: Provide details of data and methods used in the design of the study.

Results: Summarize the main findings of the study and how they apply to the research questions stated above.

Conclusions: Summarize conclusions, recommendations and/or limitations of the study.

Please send the abstracts in .doc (or .docx) and .pdf format to czegerworkshop@ff.cuni.cz

Proceedings

All accepted submissions will be published on a CD and given to participants at registration.

Participants who are interested may submit a full paper, which will be anonymously peer-reviewed after the workshop. Selected papers will be published as Proceedings by the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague.
