How to get here

The main bulding of the Faculty of Arts is situated next to the underground, bus and tramway station "Staroměstská".

by plane

The Václav Havel International Airport services flights to and from all major European cities. The journey to the venue takes approximately 35 minutes: take bus 119 to "Dejvická" and then underground line A to "Staroměstská".

by train

By train you'll arrive at the main station, "Praha Hlavní nádraží". From there take the underground line C to "Muzeum" and then change to line A and go to "Staroměstská". The journey should take approximately 10 minutes.

by bus

Most of the international bus lines to Prague (such as Student Agency or Eurolines) stop at the main bus station "Florenc". From there take the underground line B to "Můstek" and then change to line A and go to "Staroměstská". The journey should take approximately 10 minutes.

by car

Prague can be a very challenging city for drivers. Since the Old Town is mostly closed to traffic (pedestrians only) and it is extremely difficult to find parking around the venue, we recommend leaving the car at one of the P+R parking lots which are guarded, cheap and situated around Prague close to public transport. Please note that in Prague it is not allowed to leave the car in the zones marked by blue lines (parking for residents only).

Getting around Prague

Using a basic 32 CZK ticket you can travel for 90 minutes with any of the public transport vehicles (underground, buses, tramway or the funicular railway to Petřín hill). The tickets can be purchased in any underground station, some of the surface transit stops or by SMS. Detailed information about public transport, ticket prices or connections can be found here.

Money and Exchange

The currency here is Czech Crown (česká koruna, Kč, CZK), 1 EUR being equivalent to approximately 27.50 CZK. The restaurants, shops and supermarkets in Prague usually take all major credit cards. For exchanging cash, we recommend the Exchange office in Kaprova 14/13, roughly 200 m from the venue.
